subic beachSubic Beach is one of the best beaches in Sorsogon which you shouldn't miss if you are going to the Bicol area. It is one of the rare pink sand beaches in the Philippines aside from the Great Santa Cruz Island in Zamboanga. Subic Beach is located in the municipality of Matnog, which is at the bottommost portion of Luzon in the Bicol region. Commuters going to Samar pass by Matnog by bus then by RORO/ferry.

juag lagoon fish sanctuaryJuag Lagoon Fish Sanctuary is privately owned and maintained by the Geneblazo family, lead by Sir Alex. Despite being privately owned, the family decided to open it up to the public to educate and entertain. The island hoping tours in Matnog include the sanctuary as part of its itinerary. The Geneblazo family does not charge an entrance fee to the property but donations for the maintenance of the sanctuary are very welcome.

calintaan caveCalintaan Cave is about 10 minutes to the west of Subic Beach via an outrigger boat and would usually come after spending the day in Subic Beach. Calitaan Cave and Subic Beach are both located within Calintaan Island. The sea near the cave is usually choppy hence expect a challenging (and definitely fun) swim. The view from this area is comparable to El Nido's limestone cliffs, only shorter and greener.

tikling islandTikling Island is located in Matnog, Sorsogon, along with other equally beautiful islands and beaches including the relatively more popular Subic Beach. Tikling Island is about 30 minutes ride by outrigger boat from Matnog Port and about 10 minutes away from Subic Beach. It is also one of Sorsogon's beaches with sand of unusual pinkish hue.
