Our Boracay Fave: 10 Reasons Why We Love Feliz Hotel
Follow us on social media
Last November, my husband and I stayed in Boracay for a little over a week and booked three different hotels during our trip. One of those hotels was Feliz Hotel located right in Station 2. We decided to book Feliz Hotel based on its prime location near the beach, shops, and restaurants, and because it had stellar reviews on sites like Agoda and Tripadvisor. Much to our delight, Feliz Hotel was the best of all the 3 hotels/resorts we stayed in despite having the cheapest overnight rates.
Since returning from our Boracay getaway, we’ve been recommending Feliz Hotel to our family, friends, and social media followers – and they’ve all mentioned having amazing stays too. After having such an enjoyable time at Feliz Hotel, we wanted to share our hotel review in this blog post for other travelers considering staying there. We hope this gives you the information you need to decide if Feliz Hotel is the right choice for your next Boracay vacation!
1) The location rocks!
The hotel enjoys a prime location in Station 2, one of the most popular areas in Boracay. The main reason we stayed here is because it's located within the D'Mall complex and a few steps to the beach. But you won't really appreciate how convenient the hotel's location is until you get there. From Google Maps, the hotel doesn't look like it's near the beach but it is literally just a few steps away from the ocean, which allows you easy access to the famous soft white sands and crystal blue waters that Boracay is known for. It is also right smack in the middle of D'Mall so it's very close to shopping, dining, and nightlife spots. And when I say close, the shops, restaurants and bars are right in front of you when you step out of the hotel. The convenient location means you don't have to travel far to enjoy the best of Boracay.
2) Calm and relaxing ambiance
Surprisingly, despite its location in the crowded Station 2, our room in the hotel never got noisy and we felt like we were in an exclusive resort. Whenever we go back to our room after a tiring day of water and island hopping activities, we immediately feel relaxed. The hotel also has a calm and relaxing vibe when you get inside, which is perfect for travelers hoping to unwind and destress like most of us. The peaceful atmosphere provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the city. The ambience creates a rejuvenating environment to help you return back home feeling refreshed and happy, which is probably the reason why they called it "feliz" 😍
Important note: There are some rooms that may be located in areas of the hotel that are a bit noisier than others. We were lucky to have been assigned to a room towards the back of the hotel so it was really quiet during our stay. If you're after a serene stay, inform the hotel's reservation team of this request ahead of time. Most likely they will be able to accommodate this depending on how busy your stay dates are.
3) Insane sunset view from the rooftop pool
The hotel also has an inviting rooftop pool that will give you panoramic views of the sea and the island while swimming or lounging. It's the ideal spot to relax with a cocktail in hand and take in Boracay's incredible sunset. The pool area has a deck with loungers perfect for sunbathing if this is something that you want to do. The rooftop pool allows guests to soak in the island paradise views in both daytime and evening.
Unfortunately, during our stay, the rooftop pool was still closed and under renovation so we were not able to experience this but we saw great photos from the hotel's Facebook page and guest reviews. Definitely something to look forward to when we come back!
4) Staff always go above and beyond
The staff of Feliz Hotel Boracay is super friendly and helpful. And it's not just the front desk team, it was everyone including the restaurant staff, the security guards, even the drivers who pick up guests from the port. Not to mention the insane driving skills of Kuya Irvin since he has to drive through the narrow streets of D'Mall while trying to avoid people and trees.
My birthday fell on one of the days that we were checked in at Feliz Hotel. When I went downstairs for breakfast, the front desk team greeted me a happy birthday which caught me by surprise. I have been on multiple birthday trips in my life and this is the first time I was personally greeted by someone from the front desk. During breakfast, they sang the birthday song for me and gave me a small round cake. THANK YOU, FELIZ HOTEL! ❤️
The staff is also very easy to approach whenever you need to make requests. They are super friendly that it makes it easy to strike random conversations with them. They never miss saying hello and they always remember you by name. Perhaps it was because of my birthday, I don't know. Whether this is something they've been trained to do or not, this is one of the top reasons why we've grown to love this resort!
5) Their lobby is gorgeous and welcoming
The hotel welcomes visitors with a spacious al fresco lobby, featuring soaring ceilings and probably the largest door on the island. A lot of guests want to have their pictures taken by the door that at this point, the security guards have become pros at taking door snaps.
Stepping into Feliz Hotel's lobby immediately says "island vacation." The soaring ceilings let in refreshing cross breezes as you relax on stylish furniture specially chosen to invite lounging. While not overly spacious, the lobby exudes a cozy vibe, with just enough seating areas for guests to decompress. If the lobby is full, you can also unwind and relax in the hotel's restaurant with an iced coffee while waiting for your room to be prepped.
6) Refreshments at the lobby are the bomb!
After several hours of soaking in sun, sand, and adventure, the free refreshments in Feliz Hotel's lobby were an oasis. The hotel thoughtfully offers complimentary juices around the clock - just what you crave after island hopping or swimming. We'd return to find chilled fresh orange or pineapple juices, depending on what was available that day. Parched from walking in the tropical climate, those fruity goodness was pure magic. I don't know what they put in their blend, but it was delicious - or maybe we were just that thirsty! Either way, sipping something cold and revitalizing was the perfect island pick-me-up. These small but meaningful gestures of hospitality made us feel special. When you're worn out, comped refreshments mean so much. And did I mention it's free? It's one more reason we can't rave enough about Feliz Hotel's stellar service.
7) Rooms are cozy and immaculately clean
While branded as a 4-star hotel, Feliz Hotel's immaculate rooms meet 5-star standards in my book.
As soon as we entered the room, the plush king bed is what caught our attention. The pillows are also very soft and you would know right away that quality linens are used. You will also be provided with an in-room safe for your valuables.
You also have a mini bar where you can get your quick tea and coffee fixes. This is replenished everyday by the room service team. The mini bar also have different beverages (even alcoholic beverages) that you can easily get at an additional fee.
Tech amenities abound in the room, with plenty of accessible power outlets, strong WiFi, and wall-mounted flat screen TVs. You also have a chair and table if you would need to get some work done or enjoy private in-room dining. The only downside is there's only one chair when there's supposed to be at least two people in the room. That's somehow understandable since the space in the room is quite limited.
8) The bathroom is 5-star!
Then there's the gorgeously appointed bathroom clad in marble with a separate area showers and luxe toiletries. There's never a shortage of fluffy towels, and extras like plush robes, slippers, and hair dryers make you feel pampered. They have a separate shower area with rainfall shower heads, which we just love! Stepping into the waterfall stream feels like a luxurious experience that you don't always get from a 4-star hotel.
Similar to the bedroom, the bathroom was also spotless, you'd think no one has ever used it before, not to sound exaggerated. The bathroom met our highest expectations for both style and cleanliness.

9) La Plaza offers unforgettable dining experience
La Plaza, the restaurant at Feliz Hotel, boasts a stunning interior, highlighted by the vibrant teal furniture that adds a charming touch to the space. Throughout our stay, we found the ambiance inviting and relaxing, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. I also spent tons of hours here working and editing my blog. Coffee is great! ☕️👍🏽 The size of the restaurant perfectly matched the hotel's scale, offering an intimate setting without feeling overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy our meals in comfort.
The breakfast buffet was also a lot of delight, offering a generous array of options to suit various tastes. Despite the hotel's relatively compact size, the restaurant managed to provide a diverse selection that satisfied our cravings. What stood out were the refreshing beverages and the inclusion of Filipino cuisine, adding a local flair to the morning spread that we truly appreciated.

Boracay tends to be very much alive in the evenings and La Plaza won't be left out! Feliz Hotel made our stay even more memorable with their seafood dinner complemented by live acoustic performances every night. The vast patio area at the hotel's front provided an enchanting setting, offering panoramic views of both the stunning Feliz Hotel structure and the nearby shops. The combination of delectable fresh seafood dishes and the soothing melodies of the live band created an atmosphere that perfectly encapsulated a serene evening by the ocean, with the gentle ocean breeze that added to the overall charm of the dining experience.
This grilled meat/seafood dinner runs from 7:00 - 9:00 pm everyday. According to their website, they also have fire dancing every Thursday to Sunday from 9:30 PM onwards. Not sure if the fire dancing is still being offered as I haven't seen this during our stay so best to check with the reservation or the front desk staff.
10) They go above and beyond for the environment
This is probably something that most guests probably won't notice and some won't even care about. But what's really lovely to know is that Feliz Hotel also demonstrates its commitment to sustainability by providing reusable water bottles in rooms instead of single-use plastic bottles. This might inconvenience some but this initiative helps reduce plastic waste and promotes eco-friendly and sustainable tourism on the island. Not a lot of hotels do this but it's good to know that the hotel you're staying in is trying its best to protect Boracay and making sure that they minimize adding more waste in this beautiful island.
With every detail thoughtfully designed for an unparalleled guest experience, Feliz Hotel's accommodations truly exceed 4-star expectations. The quality of the rooms matches up to premiere 5-star resorts I’ve visited. And the staff's prompt attention to any request makes you feel like royalty. I haven't come across many places that offer such luxurious quarters with equally impeccable service. Feliz Hotel makes it seem effortless.
