This two-night stay in Nurture Wellness Village was a wedding gift from one of our best friends. We spent the first night in a Garden View Room and the second night in an Ifugao Spa Suite. They have several packages that you can avail of which includes breakfast, dining credits, massage plus other perks depending on the package. They offer services such as wellness packages, treatment programs and spa. They have a small pool and you can also opt to do glamping, if you’re not in the mood for the usual bedrooms.

Check-in Process

You will be required to fill up a form upon check-in in order for them to determine what wellness package, treatment program or spa service they can offer you so you can make the most out of your stay. And for those of you who have been asking, parking is not a problem as Nurture Wellness Village has its own parking space, and a huge one at that.

Garden View Room

We stayed in a Garden View Room for the first night. It was decent, clean and comfortable. You have your cable TV, private toilet and bath, queen-sized bed and coffee station. You have all the items you need for a good night stay. The view looks over and around the garden where the free wellness activities such as Taichi and yoga are done.

If you would like to book this simplest room at this spa village, here are the sites that you can visit:

Ifugao Spa Suite

On the second night, we transferred to an Ifugao Spa Suite which is a bit bigger than the Garden View rooms. It has a daybed nook, where I spent most of the day reading books. It is located at a higher area where it overlooks the glamping area and it is nearer to and more accessible from the front desk, restaurant and parking lot. There are only 4 spa suites in Nurture Wellness so the earlier you book, the better. It only fits 2 people but if your third wheel doesn’t mind sleeping in the daybed (which I wouldn’t mind at all!), then it can comfortably accommodate 3 for an extra cost.

And the main feature of an Ifugao Spa Suite is the private massage area downstairs where we had our second massage. Note that there are no stairs directly connecting the massage area to your room so you’ll have to go around your room down a private passageway. It was so much better having our massage here as it’s literally just a few steps back to the room so after a relaxing massage, you can go straight to your room for an excellent night’s sleep.

If you would like to book the Ifugao Spa Suite, here are the sites that you can visit:

Free Hearty Breakfast

All rooms rates come with free breakfast. Breakfast was healthy but surprisingly sumptuous and delicious. You can also order a la carte for lunch and dinner. We preferred to have ours here most of our stay since we were too lazy to drive and go to Tagaytay proper. If you want to check what’s available in their a la carte menu, check here: Farmers Table Menu

Activities and Facilities

This is a wellness village so most of the activities are focused on health, wellness and relaxation. Here are some of the activities that you can do when you stay here:

  1. Avail of their treatment packages which includes acupuncture, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, etc. You can check out their treatment packages here: Nurture Wellness Treatments
  2. Enroll in their wellness programs. I personally recommend their Detox Sampler for those who want to do cleansing or their Stress Buster for those who want to relieve stress. See all their programs here: Nurture Wellness Programs
  3. Get a massage. This is a definite must when in spa village. They offer different services you can choose from and you can check out their spa rates here: Nurture Wellness Spa Services
  4. Eat healthy at Farmers Table. See menu here: Farmers Table Menu
  5. Join their free wellness activities – Tai qi-gong exercise, Chair Yoga, Lakad Kalinga, Fun run, Nurture walk and nutritional counseling – whatever is available by the time of your visit.
  6. Swim or lounge by the pool.
  7. Do your own nature walk. It’s a small resort but you’ll enjoy the greeneries and nature it offers.
  8. Other than that, get all the rest you need, read a book, disconnect and unwind.

Here are some of the photos we took of the gardens during our nature walks.

Overall, I would rate this spa village an 8.5 out of 10. It serves its purpose of being a wellness hotel/resort and I would say that in terms of service, it is quite comparable to other wellness establishments in the south (but don’t expect it to be near the quality of services in The Farm at San Benito). Plus, you are just a few minutes drive away to your favorite restaurants in Tagaytay, so that’s a definite plus.

For those who are interested to stay at Nurture Wellness Village, it is only 5-8 minutes drive from Tagaytay Rotonda. The village is not located along the highway so you will have to traverse smaller roads within Barangay Maitim II. But it is on Waze and Google Maps, so you can easily get to it from anywhere.

If you would like to book a room at Nurture Wellness Village, here are the sites that you can visit:

You’ll find the price of Agoda the most affordable but this only includes the overnight stay and breakfast. If this is what you are up for, then Agoda would be your best option. The next cheapest option is by booking directly through the hotel. The only difference is that you have to pay 100% upfront when booking direct while Agoda offers reserve now, pay later scheme. Cancellation policy is also different for both so you have to make sure you read thoroughly just to be safe, especially during the uncertainty of travel during this pandemic.
