Alona Beach
Alona Beach is the most popular among the white sand beaches in Panglao, and if you have been to Bohol, you have probably set foot here because it was part of your Panglao tour, or because it was where your resort is located, or it was the meet-up point for your island hopping tour, or just because you wanted to go food tripping.
Alona Beach offers a breathtaking scene of white sand, crystal clear waters and lush palm trees. Not only is it renowned for its vibrant nightlife, but also for a diverse range of leisure activities including sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Its captivating coral reefs provide an amazing diversity of underwater wildlife too. Alona Vida Beach Resort
Alona Vida Beach Resort is a top-notch spot situated right by the beach. Enjoy spacious rooms with clean bathrooms and easy access to the pool and restaurant while staying in comfort and luxury. The staff are very welcoming and the grub is really good – but not too pricey either! There’s a quaint little pool as well as a restaurant, and family rooms come complete with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Mobile internet can be a bit patchy unfortunately but the water pressure in the shower will certainly give you a boost! End your day with a beautiful view of the sunrise from the end of Alona beach. Customers have said nothing but good things about this place – its perfect location for starters, plus excellent facilities, nice rooms, and great value for money. All in all, you’re sure to have an amazing time here with friendly staff, yummy food, plenty of activities, and top-notch customer care.

Aquatica Beach Resort
The Aquatica Beach Resort offers panoramic views and reasonable prices for food — yet unfortunately, the experiences of guests have been overwhelmingly negative. Reviews include unclean rooms and bathrooms, unfriendly staff, and cash-only transactions. The rooms were said to have outdated facilities such as noisy air conditioning units, limited electrical outlets, poor Wi-Fi coverage and overwhelming smells from the water. Additionally, guests have been disturbed by insects such as ants, flies and mosquitoes although this is something you’ll expect in tropical countries. While it may appear tempting to stay on a beachside property, a lot of guests mentioned that spending a bit more money could save people a great amount of disappointment from this resort. The beach area is great for young children to swim and play however, the resort does not have a swimming pool, restaurant or breakfast included. The road to the resort is bumpy and if you would like a taxi, just inform the staff to call you one. Despite some minor problems, the resort is highly recommended and guests enjoyed their stay. The garden area facing the beach is also gorgeous. The room is big and can fit 3-4 people, but the layout could be better with more lighting and soap bars instead of liquid soap.

Dumaluan Beach
Dumaluan Beach in Panglao is a highly-sought after spot for locals of Bohol. Located just 10 minutes from the airport, this picturesque beach boasts a larger stretch of coastline than its neighbor Alona Beach. Free from boat traffic and with plenty of inviting sands, Dumaluan provides a cleaner, safer swimming environment than its more populated counterpart. Doljo Beach
Doljo Beach is situated on the western side of Panglao Island and recently had a 5-star resort and mall built at its location. It is long, wide and has less resorts than Alona and Dumaluan. Due to its proximity to Moadto Mall, it’s become a popular spot with locals and tourists alike. During September, the morning waves make the water great for swimming, while the afternoon brings low tide and makes walking along the sea floor possible. Ananyana Beach Resort
Ananyana Resort is a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of tourist spots. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite, and they make sure each guest feels special. There are nice rooms, a small swimming pool, and good food, although it’s a bit pricey. We recommend taking a dive trip or snorkel outing to see the beautiful coral gardens and reefs. The resort is not in the most convenient location but is far away from busy Alona Beach. You can also book tours around Bohol Island. However, be aware that many reviews have mentioned that there aren’t many food choices and some activities are overpriced.

Palm Island Dive Resort
Everything I’ve read about this resort are bad reviews so I’m just summarizing this here. The resort is located far away from anything and is very quiet. The Korean restaurant is very expensive compared to others in the area. The rooms are small and clean, but there is no TV or fridge, and the extra bed for kids costs 400 pesos. Transportation is also very expensive and you need to argue for a small discount. The beach is great and is ideal for relaxing, but the resort does not have hot water. The resort staff is friendly, but the rooms are old and need renovation.

Muro-Ami Beach Resort
Muro-Ami is a resort located right on the beach in the Philippines. Some guests have had positive experiences, with the staff being friendly and helpful, and the resort having a clean beach. However, some guests have had negative experiences with issues such as air conditioning not working properly, dirty bedding, a broken shower knob with leaks, and a toilet that didn’t work. Some guests have also noted the slow wifi speed and that there is a building site before a dirty part of the beach. Danao Beach
Situated just a short jaunt away from the airport on Panglao Island’s southwest coast, Danao Beach is perfect for those wanting aquatic thrills. Its reefs and coral gardens are said to be of higher quality than what can be found on the other side of the island. However, due to shallow depth and murky water, swimming isn’t recommended here. Plus, there aren’t many resorts open in this area as most of it has been desolated or is part of fishing villages.

Linaw Resort is the perfect place to stay if you want a tranquil and serene holiday in Panglao. Panglao Tropical Villas
Panglao Tropical Villas is conveniently situated near Alona Beach, allowing guests to rent bikes and explore Bohol Island. Its features make it ideal for families traveling with young children—recent visitors even received a complimentary upgrade. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and the rooms are directly next to the beach. The only downside is the shallow, swimming-prohibited water level of the beach, lack of mosquito screens, and no wifi in the rooms. There is a kids’ pool which provides plenty of entertainment for the little ones. While some patrons had issues with cleanliness, noise, and fixtures, many enjoyed the awe-inspiring ocean view and appreciated the pool for their children.

Bohol South Beach Hotel
Bohol South Beach Hotel is located on Danao Beach, which provides a local feel and a great view of the ocean. The staff are helpful, kind and professional. The hotel provides shuttle service to Alona Beach, but restaurants and stores are within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and come with breakfast included. The pool is well-maintained and heated. The evening meals are expensive, small portions, and took a long time to arrive. Despite this, the hotel is still recommended, as the location is convenient, staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms and pool are great. The hotel also offers island and inland tours.
